2023 "Adjunct Faculty Excellence" Award Recipients
P. Christine Ackroyd
Since 2016, P. Christine Ackroyd has developed and implemented new instructional methods while teaching Physical Science 100 and chemistry courses at both the Provo and Salt Lake campuses. Additionally, Ackroyd is an experienced grant-proposal writer who enjoys coaching other faculty members in the process; she recently began doing so in a formal role in her college.
Apryl Cox
In 12 years of teaching at BYU, Apryl Cox has become a cornerstone in the family history program. She has worked with thousands of students and is deeply invested in their success and in their understanding of the doctrine of the family as an essential part of the work of salvation. Many students note that her influence is the primary reason they chose to major in family history.
Eric Blum
Eric Blum has spent 20 years working as a corporate and securities attorney and in senior executive roles. For the past seven years he has also taught Ethics for Management and Philosophy of Law at BYU Marriott, where he loves sharing his hands-on career perspective in the classroom. His interactions with students and other faculty members epitomize BYU’s aims.
