2022 "Adjunct Faculty Excellence" Award Recipients
Kristen Bromley
An instructor of guitar and jazz-focused coursework since 2012, Kristen R. Bromley has led the BYU Jazz Legacy Band all over the world, most recently at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy. A critically acclaimed recording artist, Bromley has authored methods books on guitar pedagogy, produced numerous instructional videos, and spoken frequently at conferences and festivals.
Lisa B. Johnson
Lisa B. Johnson has been teaching first-year writing and technical communication for 24 years. She mentors graduate students and other adjunct faculty in course design and recently collaborated with the Center for Teaching and Learning on a project in which technical communication students helped write documentation for Learning Suite.
Liz A. Dixon
For more than two decades, Elizabeth A. Dixon has taught management communications, ethics, international case competitions, and MBA professional presentations classes. She is a goal-oriented self-starter, a gifted communicator, an avid learner, and a compassionate includer who aims to exemplify the BYU Marriott vision, mission, and values in her personal and professional life.
Dale M. Maughan
Since 2008, Dale M. Maughan has been an adjunct faculty member in the BYU Department of Public Health. He has worked as an emergency department nurse and a paramedic for many years, and he emphasizes injury prevention and health promotion in his classes. He has also worked with many EMS and EMT groups and is a sought-after voice of expertise in those fields.
